Extruding process changes alloy billets into extrusion profiles. The principle of extruding aluminum profiles is to utilize the plasticity of the metal material, apply pressure after heating to get the aluminum alloy through the mold to obtain the desired profile. The principle of extruding aluminum profiles can be simply summarized as: thermal expansion and contraction, and metal rheology. Thermal expansion and contraction refer to the expansion of metal materials due to temperature increasement during heating, and contraction during cooling. During the extrusion process, the metal material is subjected to pressure and flows into the mold and then comes out of the exist of the mold. To change the mold’s exit with different shape, we can get extrusion profiles with different shape.
